This is a place to see some images and maybe read some words.  Perhaps you’ll find it interesting.

They tell me that this site will get more traffic with a short bio here.  Actually, I’d rather let the images and any writing tell my story.  Nonetheless, let’s humor the traffic czars and see if a little personal information helps.

I’m an sexagenarian, and will be for a good bit longer assuming all goes well.  No, that doesn’t make me sexy.

Part of my good fortune is to have a special wife who tries hard to address my many needs. I also have three healthy offspring to enjoy, each very different from the others.  Together we have two very nice dogs (pictures of whom are somewhere within the site).  One heir has finished (many years of) school and is out making his way in the world.  The two remaining, will be starting that same journey soon, as they begin college in less then 18 months.  Time does go quickly.

I’m the beneficiary of a fair bit of education, or at least everyone’s best efforts to educate me, over a variety of subjects.  Which probably translates to a dangerous level of knowledge about too many things.    By nature, I’m a contrarian.  This doesn’t necessarily mean argumentative or cranky, but it does allow me to question almost everything.

Visual imagery of many kinds turns me on, both real life and what we can capture using a variety of media.  Eye-hand coordination, not being my thing, determined early that photography was my preferred method to create images.  Digital shooting and film shooting are both magical, but their respective magic leans toward different points.
